Pediatricians Dedicated to a Safer World
Emergency room pediatricians Dr. James Schmidt and Dr. Joel Clingenpeel are not only concerned about medical care for the many children who suffer preventable accidents such as falls, burns, and poisonings that result in trips to the ER. They also want to reduce the number of injuries by educating others about the importance of proper child safety practices.

Drs. Clingenpeel and Schmidt's passion for child advocacy has led each of them to earn a master's degree in the field of public health. Their outreach efforts to promote a safer world for children have spanned various print and broadcast media locally, nationally, and internationally.

Drs. Clingenpeel and Schmidt welcome invitations to educate on various child safety topics including: home and commercial childproofing, burns, poisonings, drowning, choking and strangulation, falls, first aid and CPR.
